A customized 23-day tour of Australia begins in Cairns, on Australia’s tropical northeast coast. We’ll explore Daintree Village by the Daintree River, followed by a snorkeling and cruise adventure on the Great Barrier Reef. A scenic train ride will take us to the picturesque village of Kuranda, surrounded by rainforest and home to a koala sanctuary.
From Cairns, we’ll fly to Alice Springs and then travel to the iconic Uluru, a 600-million-year-old sacred site to the Aboriginal people. We continue to Kings Canyon for an unforgettable hike, then fly to Brisbane, where we’ll journey to the stunning Fraser Island, known for its pristine natural beauty.
Our next destination is Sydney, where we’ll explore its iconic sites, venture into the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, and embark on a dolphin-watching cruise in Port Stephens. Picking up a rental car, we head to Canberra, Australia’s capital, with stops at Batemans Bay and the tranquil town of Eden. We conclude our journey in Melbourne, driving along the stunning Great Ocean Road and enjoying a private tour on Phillip Island, including the enchanting penguin parade.

Day 1: Arrival - Cairns
Welcome to Cairns, one of Australia’s most popular cities and a gateway to some of the world’s most stunning natural sites, including the Great Barrier Reef on one side and lush rainforests on the other, you will be greeted by our representative at the airport.
You will then have a private transfer to your hotel.
Overnight stay in Cairns.
Day 2: Cairns - Daintree and Cape Tribulation
After breakfast, we will embark on a private tour of Daintree, a charming village on the banks of the Daintree River. After a delightful morning tea and informative explanations, we’ll enjoy a river cruise on the Daintree River, surrounded by mangroves and endemic wildlife, experiencing nature at its finest.
Next, we will head to a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking a coastline where tropical rainforests meet turquoise waters—undoubtedly one of the most stunning sights you will encounter during your trip. From there, we will visit Lync Haven, a wildlife sanctuary where you’ll have the opportunity to feed the animals by hand.
We will continue towards Cape Tribulation, stopping at a hidden freshwater creek away from the crowds for a refreshing swim (it’s advisable to bring your swimsuit and towel). Upon arriving at Cape Tribulation, you will find a unique ecosystem where coral reefs meet ancient rainforests, home to distinctive flora and fauna.
Once there, enjoy a relaxing swim in the coral sea or take a leisurely stroll along the beach.
At the end of the day, we will cross the Daintree by cable car and make our way back to Cairns.

Day 3: Cairns - Great Barrier Reef Cruise
After breakfast, we will head out for a shared cruise to the Great Barrier Reef, where you can enjoy snorkeling in one of the world’s most magnificent locations (it’s recommended to bring swimwear and a towel).
The reef is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the greatest natural wonders and tourist attractions in Australia. Stretching over 2,000 kilometers along the coastline, it is composed of countless coral formations, mangrove forests, seagrasses, sandy islands, colorful fish, mollusks, starfish, turtles, dolphins, and even sharks.
At the end of the day, we will have a shared transfer back to the hotel in Cairns.

Day 4: Cairns - Kuranda Adventure
After breakfast, we will embark on a private day filled with adventures on a scenic railway that will take you deep into the rainforest, crossing bridges, passing through tunnels, and alongside rushing waterfalls.
We will make a stop to explore Kuranda, a picturesque village nestled in the heart of the rainforest. From there, we will continue with a combination of walking, driving, and boating. Our journey will take us to the Pamagirri cultural experience, where we will learn about the Indigenous Aboriginal people, enjoy a boomerang throwing demonstration, spear throwing, and traditional music with the didgeridoo.
After lunch at the location, we will visit the Koala Park, where we can observe other native animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, crocodiles, iguanas, and more. We will continue our adventure with a cable car ride, experiencing the rainforest from the treetops, stopping at the stunning Barron Falls and exploring the treetop pathways.
At the end of this exciting day, we will return to Cairns.

Day 5: Cairns - Alice Springs
After breakfast and depending on your flight schedule, you will have a private transfer to the airport for your flight to Alice Springs. This city, once a telegraph station, now serves as a refreshing stopover on your journey north and is known as a center for Indigenous art, with opportunities to explore local galleries.
Upon arrival, you will embark on a private city tour. The itinerary includes a visit to the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, home to the largest collection of reptiles in the Northern Territory, featuring over 100 reptiles in their natural environment, including various lizards, crocodiles, iguanas, and snakes.
Next, you will visit the Telegraph Station Historical Reserve, a site designated as a reserve on June 5, 1962. From there, you’ll ascend to Anzac Hill Lookout, which offers panoramic views of Alice Springs and the beautiful surrounding ranges.
The tour continues to the Botanic Garden, followed by a visit to an Aboriginal art gallery, where you will discover the world of Australian Indigenous art, featuring a unique collection of masterpieces by the famous Petyarre sisters.
Finally, you’ll have the chance to explore the local market, where you can find handcrafted items, Aboriginal art, food, jewelry, and more.
After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6: Alice Springs – Uluru – Sunset Tour
After breakfast, we will embark on a private drive of approximately 5 hours to Uluru National Park, located in the Northern Territory’s southern region.
Uluru is the most famous and sacred site in the Australian desert. This extraordinary natural wonder is a massive red rock formation, estimated to be 600 million years old. Originally named “Ayers Rock” by white explorers, it is now more commonly associated with its traditional Aboriginal name, “Uluru.” The rock rises 348 meters above the completely flat plains, with an estimated two-thirds of it buried beneath the sand. Its impressive dimensions include a length of 3.6 km, a width of 2.4 km, and a circumference of about nine kilometers. However, Uluru is particularly renowned for the changing colors it exhibits throughout the day.
As evening approaches, we will enjoy a special sunset tour at Uluru National Park, taking in the breathtaking views as the sun sets over this iconic landmark. After the tour, we will return to the hotel for the night.

Day 7: Uluru - Sunrise Tour and Kata Tjuta
Early in the morning, we will embark on a shared 12 km walking tour in Uluru National Park, where we will watch the breathtaking sunrise, explore the park’s stunning landscapes, and hear stories about ancient culture and traditions.
After our morning adventure, we will return to the hotel for breakfast.
Following breakfast, we will continue with a shared tour of Kata Tjuta, an intriguing geological formation. During this tour, we will visit local Aboriginal sites, navigate around the area, and venture off the heavily trafficked tourist paths to discover hidden and secluded spots.

Day 8: Uluru - Kings Canyon
After breakfast, we will embark on a private drive of approximately 3.5 hours through the sand dunes toward Kings Canyon. Upon arrival at Watarrka National Park, you will have the opportunity to hike at your own pace to the canyon rim. This challenging climb, taking about 3 hours, is well worth the effort as the views that will unfold before you are breathtaking! Alternatively, there is an option to explore the area with a gentle and easy walk without climbing.
After our adventures, we will have a private transfer to the hotel.

Day 9: Kings Canyon - Alice Springs - Brisbane
After breakfast, we will embark on a private drive of approximately 3.5 hours to Alice Springs Airport for our flight to Brisbane, the capital of Queensland.
Brisbane is a vibrant city known for its beautiful riverside, bustling arts scene, and outdoor lifestyle. Visitors can explore the South Bank Parklands, which features lush gardens, lagoons, and walking paths along the river. The city is also home to the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, showcasing an impressive collection of both local and international art.
Upon arrival in Brisbane, there will be a private transfer to the hotel.

Day 10: Brisbane - Fraser Island
After breakfast, we will have a private drive of approximately 3.5 hours to Hervey Bay, where we will embark on a shared boat transfer to Fraser Island—one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world.
Fraser Island is not only the largest sand island in the world but also a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is an ecological paradise covered in rich vegetation, rainforests, and stunning freshwater lakes with turquoise waters, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers.
Upon arrival, a shuttle transfer will take you to your hotel.

Day 11: Fraser Island
After breakfast, we will embark on a shared day tour exploring the wonders of Fraser Island. Our first stop will be the famous Lake McKenzie, known for its crystal-clear waters. Next, we’ll visit Wanggoolba Creek and the scenic Pile Valley, where lush vegetation and towering trees await.
We’ll travel along the iconic 75 Mile Beach, where we’ll explore the wreck of the Maheno ship and enjoy a refreshing swim in Eli Creek. The day will be filled with more visits to the island’s breathtaking sights and natural wonders.
Lunch is included during the tour.

Day 12: Fraser Island - Brisbane - Sydney
After breakfast, we will take a ferry back to Hervey Bay, followed by a private transfer to Brisbane. Upon arrival, we’ll proceed to the airport for our flight to Sydney, the capital of New South Wales and the largest city in Australia. Sydney is a vibrant and beautiful city, rich in attractions, parks, beaches, and excellent restaurants. Often, visitors mistakenly believe that Sydney is the capital of Australia instead of Canberra.
Upon arrival, you will meet our representative at the airport and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel.

Day 13: Sydney - City Tour
After breakfast, we will embark on a private city tour of this amazing city. This tour will combine walking and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle.
We will visit must-see landmarks such as Circular Quay, where you can take in sights that you’ve only seen on postcards—the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and the observation tower. Afterward, we will continue to explore the northern beaches of Sydney.

Day 14: Sydney - Blue Mountains Tour
After breakfast, we will embark on a private day trip to one of the enchanting sites in New South Wales—the Blue Mountains. This mountain range features tableland and canyons, with the characteristic blue hue resulting from sunlight scattering through the dust and eucalyptus oil in the air. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enjoy off-road tours, canyon descents, and encounters with local wildlife throughout the day.
At the end of the tour, we will transfer back to the hotel in Sydney.

Day 15: Sydney - Port Stephens and Dolphin Watching
After breakfast, we will embark on a private experiential day tour to Port Stephens. We will leave Sydney via the famous Harbour Bridge, enjoying breathtaking views along the way.
Once we arrive, we will hop onto off-road vehicles to explore the dunes leading to the beach.
Lunch will be enjoyed in Port Stephens, followed by the highlight of the visit—a dolphin-watching cruise. This is the best way to see wild dolphins in their natural habitat. If the weather permits and the water temperature is warm enough, there may be an opportunity to swim alongside these charming and playful creatures.
After our exciting day, we will drive back to Sydney and transfer to the hotel.

Day 16: Sydney - Canberra
After breakfast, you will pick up your rental car and embark on a drive of approximately 3.5 hours (286 km) to Canberra.
Canberra is the capital of Australia, strategically located halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. When Australians decided to choose a capital city, they opted to build a new one nestled between the two major cities. The city is spacious and well-planned, featuring abundant parks and gardens, as well as numerous walking and cycling trails.
Most of the city’s famous attractions are found in the “Parliamentary Triangle,” including Parliament House, the National Gallery, and the High Court. Lake Burley Griffin serves as a central landmark of the city, surrounded by countless interesting spots to explore.
The remainder of the day is free for you to discover the sights and sounds of Canberra at your leisure.

Day 17: Canberra - Batemans Bay
After breakfast, you will embark on a drive of approximately two hours (148 km) to Batemans Bay, a charming town situated on the southern coast of New South Wales, nestled within Batemans Bay itself.
Just minutes from the city center, you will find national parks, vast botanical gardens, riverside trails, and beautiful beaches. This picturesque area, surrounded by forests, is well-known for diving, featuring reefs and a variety of local fish.
Near Batemans Bay lies the Clyde River National Park, a popular spot for relaxation, kayaking, and fishing. The park, traversed by the river, is characterized by wooded hills, rows of mangroves, salt marshes, and a diverse array of Australian birds.
Another nearby attraction is Birdland Animal Park, home to a plethora of Australian wildlife, including koalas, wombats, and kangaroos.
The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the stunning surroundings at your leisure.

Day 18: Batemans Bay - Eden
After breakfast, you will embark on a drive of approximately two and a half hours (198 km) to Eden.
Eden is a tranquil town with a genuine local character, nestled on the shores of Twofold Bay. Originally a whaling town, Eden’s whaling activities began as early as 1791. Today, with whales no longer being endangered in Australia, they often come very close to the shore, making Twofold Bay one of the best locations for whale watching. During the months of September, October, and November, it is common to see whales feeding or resting during their southern migration.
Surrounding Eden are beautiful beaches, national parks, and wilderness areas, offering a plethora of activities related to the sea, such as kayaking and snorkeling, as well as marine life experiences, including museums and aquariums.

Day 19: Eden - Melbourne
After breakfast, you will depart for a drive of approximately six hours to Melbourne, the capital of Victoria and the second-largest city in Australia. Melbourne is a vibrant city that offers a delightful experience during the day, with plenty of opportunities for exploration, as well as a lively nightlife in the evening, featuring excellent restaurants, performances, and sporting events.
Upon arrival, you will return your rental car and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel.

Day 20: Melbourne - City Tour
After breakfast, we will embark on a half-day private tour to explore the beauty of Australia’s most British city. We will visit Federation Square, the city’s famous sports precinct, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Albert Park Lake, and St Kilda Beach. At the end of the tour, we will arrive at the iconic Eureka Tower for stunning views of the city.
In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore at your leisure.

Day 21: Melbourne - Great Ocean Road
After breakfast, we will embark on a private tour of the Great Ocean Road, renowned as the most scenic drive in Australia. This rugged coastline offers breathtaking views and vibrant colors. We will travel along the route to see the Twelve Apostles, which are towering limestone stacks rising dramatically from the ocean.
Our journey will also include a visit to the Split Point Lighthouse, an important heritage site and a fantastic vantage point. We’ll pass by the London Bridge and other notable landmarks along the way. At the end of the day, we will return to Melbourne.

Day 22: Melbourne - Phillip Island
After breakfast, we will embark on a magical private tour of Phillip Island. Our journey begins with a drive through the affluent suburbs of Melbourne, with our first stop at Maru Park, where we’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with koalas, kangaroos, and the Tasmanian devil.
Continuing our scenic drive, we will cross the bridge that connects the mainland to Phillip Island and be treated to views of Australia’s largest colony of seals.
Our next destination is the Penguin Parade, where, as if by magic, hundreds of little penguins return from a day of fishing to their burrows at sunset. Watching these adorable creatures waddle along the sand in a charming procession is an experience not to be missed! Dinner is included.
After this delightful day, we will return to Melbourne.
