Next, we visit the historic Olduvai Gorge, where the first remains of Homo habilis were discovered, and explore a traditional Maasai village. Our journey continues to Ngorongoro Crater, descending to the crater floor for close encounters with Africa’s diverse wildlife. We then visit Tarangire National Park, and conclude our adventure with a resort stay in Zanzibar, the dreamy Spice Island, famous for its golden beaches and clear, turquoise waters.

This thrilling safari in Tanzania is more than just sweeping landscapes and stunning sunsets; it’s a journey to a time when humans coexisted in harmony with nature in a remarkable circle of life, among plants, herbivores, predators, and fading tribal cultures. There’s no better way to end than a tropical resort stay in Zanzibar—a magical island with white sandy beaches, blue waters, and rich culture. The tour is led by an experienced English-speaking safari driver/guide in comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser vehicles, ensuring an unforgettable experience tailored to your pace and style.

Here, we will encounter a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, antelopes, and various predators. The Serengeti is also famous for hosting the last great migration in the world, where entire herds of wildebeest and zebras move through the park in search of food, heading towards neighboring Kenya.

After breakfast, we will depart for a drive of approximately two and a half hours to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful attractions in northern Tanzania. The crater was formed 2-3 million years ago due to a volcanic collapse, creating a natural habitat for diverse wildlife.

On the way, we will stop at Olduvai Gorge, located midway between the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. This site is famous for the discovery of the first Homo habilis remains by the Leakey family in the 1960s, after 25 years of searching for evidence of human origins in northern Tanzania. It was their 19-year-old son who ultimately found a lower jaw with 13 teeth that confirmed their research.

After our visit to Olduvai, we will continue our journey to Ngorongoro, where lunch will be served at the lodge.

Upon arrival, we will visit a Maasai village located in Ngorongoro. The culture and traditional way of life of the Maasai have been preserved for generations. The Maasai are known for their distinctive attire, particularly their red shuka (cloaks). This rich and sophisticated society holds deep human values.

Day 5

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

The crater, known for its stunning natural beauty, is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, and the rare black rhino. As we explore the lush grasslands, swamps, and dense forests, keep your camera ready to capture the breathtaking scenery and the vibrant animal life.
